Making plush toys is not the work of one person, but a task that requires a team to collaborate and divide the work. Generally, it takes 7-8 people to complete the entire process.

Step 1: Confirm Requirements

Involved Personnel: Order Coordinator

Confirm the size, design, fabric, techniques, and references with the designer. If there are any techniques that cannot be achieved, make timely adjustments.

Step 2: Pattern Making

Involved Personnel: Pattern Maker

This refers to the pattern for the shape of the plush toy. Usually, computer pattern making is used.

After making the pattern on the computer, it is printed onto paper and then sewn to check if it meets the required shape. If it does not, adjustments are made.

Step 3: Create Embroidery and Printing Patterns

Involved Personnel: Embroidery Pattern Maker

Create the embroidery and printing patterns based on the corresponding pattern files and design files.

The faces of plush toys generally use embroidery techniques, requiring color selection based on the design and the creation of the embroidery pattern.

Printing patterns usually do not require separate creation but need the designer to fill the design file into the corresponding pattern and adjust the colors.

Step 4: Embroidery and Printing

Involved Personnel: Embroidery Worker

Locate the corresponding embroidery thread and manually thread it onto the embroidery machine to start machine embroidery.

Printing is also done by machine.

Step 5: Laser Cutting

Involved Personnel: Laser Worker

After embroidering, cut the corresponding pieces into shape. For parts that do not require embroidery or printing, use laser cutting or standard cutting. If there is no embroidery or printing, steps 3 and 4 are omitted.

Step 6: Sewing

Involved Personnel: Sewing Worker

Sew the pieces together in sequence.

Step 7: Stuffing

Involved Personnel: Stuffing Master

Samples are generally stuffed by hand, while bulk production usually uses machine stuffing.

Step 8: Other

Sew the plush toy together and add any additional accessories.

During the sample stage, steps 7 and 8 can often be done by the same person. For bulk production, steps 7 and 8 are done by different personnel.
